Donald J. Trump, the 45th and 47th U.S. President, has faced extensive legal challenges throughout his career. He was impeached twice, in 2019 and 2021, and acquitted by the Senate both times. In 2024, he was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York and received an unconditional discharge in 2025. He has been found civilly liable for sexual abuse and defamation, as well as business fraud involving asset overvaluation. Two federal indictments regarding classified documents and the 2020 election were dismissed following his 2024 election. Georgia state charges were also dropped in 2025.
