Jared Kushner

Jared Kushner is currently linked to a luxury resort project in Albania involving Sazan Island and the Vjosa-Narta protected area. While neither Kushner nor his firm, Affinity Partners, has been accused of personal wrongdoing or charged with a crime, Albania’s Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SPAK) opened a formal criminal investigation in June 2026 into the project’s land acquisition procedures and the 2024 legislative changes that removed environmental protections from the site. The project has faced widespread public protests and allegations of political favoritism, particularly regarding the government's granting of strategic investor status and questions surrounding the origin of funds used for land titles. Investigative reports have also linked individuals involved in the land deal network to allegations of connections with organized crime and past forgery charges. Separately, Kushner’s firm withdrew from a similar project in Serbia in December 2025 following legal proceedings against Serbian officials involved in that development.
