Rodney Glassman

Rodney Glassman is a perennial political candidate in Arizona currently under investigation for alleged campaign finance violations. In 2025, the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office determined there was probable cause that Glassman’s 2026 attorney general campaign accepted at least 30 individual donations exceeding state legal limits. Following recusals by the Arizona Attorney General and Maricopa County Attorney due to conflicts of interest, Coconino County prosecutors agreed to investigate the matter. Glassman’s campaign attorney acknowledged some violations, attributing them to credit card processing fees, and stated the campaign refunded over $12,000. Additional controversies include: During his 2013 tenure as interim town manager of Cave Creek, Arizona, Glassman faced public outcry regarding his salary, job performance, and cost overruns on a public works project. Staffers from his 2010 U.S. Senate campaign reported he acted erratically and allegedly made homophobic comments. A 2010 political opponent alleged Glassman was an environmental hypocrite due to past environmental violations associated with his family’s business, Britz Inc., which occurred largely while Glassman was a child. These charges were characterized as unsubstantiated.
