Rudy Giuliani is a former New York City mayor, federal prosecutor, and personal attorney for Donald Trump. His career includes extensive legal and criminal controversies, primarily stemming from his efforts to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election. In 2021, Giuliani was suspended from practicing law in New York and the District of Columbia for communicating false and misleading statements to courts and the public. He was subsequently disbarred in New York in 2024. Additionally, a court ordered him to pay $148 million for defaming two Georgia election workers. Giuliani faces criminal indictments in Georgia and Arizona related to the 2020 election. Charges in Georgia include making false statements and conspiring to create fraudulent paperwork to appoint alternate electors.
