Tim Mander

Tim Mander is currently involved in two primary controversies. First, in May 2026, the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) referred Mr. Mander to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) regarding his electoral enrolment status. The AEC stated there was an absence of compelling evidence to confirm he resided at the address where he was enrolled, which was a staff member's residence. Mr. Mander has stood aside from his ministerial cabinet position while the matter is investigated. Second, Mr. Mander and Minister Amanda Camm were referred to the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) by the state opposition in May 2026 over the management of conflicts of interest regarding their relationship. Critics alleged they failed to properly disclose an extramarital affair, potentially compromising government funding decisions.
