Peru's Toledo sentenced to 20 years in Odebrecht case

Former Peruvian President Alejandro Toledo was sentenced in October 2024 to 20 years in prison for accepting roughly $35 million in bribes from Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht in exchange for the Interoceanic Highway contract.
